wow the amount of eggs we use in hotel breakfast is scary ... just for today i keep track about how many trays of eggs i will use for one breakfast service...

after the breakfast service ends , i use up to 200 plus eggs just for sunny side up, never include eggs use for scramble egg and omelette....scary amount ya ...

today after work i meet ah hoe , morris and tommy for shopping , i meet then at cine , went lunch at food republic eat the scissor curry rice ... then we walk and walk and walk , went to far east .. they had a halloween dress up competion ... so we went to see and we saw some reali " scary " dressing haaha

Meet up..

fri after work , we had plan to meet up with ning in , meilian and morris for movie and dinner ... but since i finish work at 3 pm and i am lazy to go home , so i meet meilian for lunch 1st and walk around ...

we had our lunch at Ding Tai Fung , ate their noodle and it is wonderful like always....after that we walk ard , buy tickets and i bought myself a new cap :) so nice . hahaah after few hour of walking , i am realli tired so we decide to find a place to drink and wait for the rest of the ppl... we had a drink at IndoChines at wisma and we wait and wait and wait...9 pm finally they reach -.-

we had our dinner at a japanese restaurant in Paragon - Akashi Japanese Restaurant

Akashi , the moment we enter the restaurant and we flip open the menu , we got a bit shock with the price of the food , all the food is priced higher then any other restaurant ...but after the food came to our table , we were really impressed by the standard of the food....it is worth it !

Yellow Tail Sashimi - very very fresh sashimi ! u will feel the chewyness and the bite when eating them ! thumbs up

Gyoza with prawn filling ....

Stir fried beef with onion ...

Nabeyaki - the udon is very nice and of coz the soup is perfect

Grilled Salmon - grilled till perfection with the skin being crispy

one thing i realli love is the rice... they serve the rice real hot with " smoke " ... this really make mi hungry and this show the chefs cook with passion and serve with pride...

after the dinner we are off to cine for our movie... eunice came over to meet us ... and the movie we are catching is 兄弟

the cast for this show is really good , all the hunks and babes but i really think that the story of the show and the ending is not tat good after all , if you watch movie for storyline , go rent the vcd better....

after movie we were all slpy le , so we bid goodbye outside cine and home sweet home ....

5 Star Standard?

What type of service are we getting from fast food restaurant like Mcdonald ? we get free sauces ,free salt and pepper , free napkins and most important we get free ice water ... how will you feel if Mcdonald start charging you guys 50 cents each for all the item i mention ? Piss ?

So what service would you expect from a 5 star hotel like Swissotel The Stamford ? of coz excellent service , full range of sauces , napkins with nice branding desgin and well chilled ice water with a few " ice cubes" ? hahaha

my friend had a very bad experience this afternoon with Swissotel ... he had high tea for 3 at Jaan located at Level 70, Equinox Complex, Swissôtel The Stamford ... what is a must request for while enjoying wonderful food at high end restaurant with excellent service?

just like us they requested for 3 ice water to be serve chilled , while they are enjoying the spectacular view from the tallest hotel is South East Asia with the wonderful food , they were charge $3 per glass unknowingly , ya you are right UNKNOWINGLY .... ( when they were requesting for the ice water , the server never inform them about the charges )

what is so special about the ice water served in Swissotel ? made with diamond water or after drinking you won't feel thirsty for 3 days ? what is written on the bills is mineral water ... even if it is mineral water does it cost $9 ? and who will ever know if the water came out from the tap ?

Ya people will think that if you can afford to eat at 5 star hotel what is $9 to you ... this is not about money... they felt cheated !

i went for a dinner session with my secondary friend at Triple 3 since i have discount to celebrate hong yun birthday ... normal talk cock sessions and teasing at each other haha

Incomplete Bus Stop

ok what am i drawing ? i am drawing the bus stop we have now and what happen when a bus reaches the busstop...did you guys see the gap in between the bus and the bus stop ?

it is perfectly alright if it is a sunny day or not raining...but what happen when it rains ? all the passager will get drenched when boarding the bus , coz that gap is not sheltered ....

what is the point of being under the shelter all the while and at the moment when the bus come we are drenched ? can LTA do something about it? extend a cover or shelter out ? we paying so much for bus fares and we are not sheltered completely?

Bloody Finger...

Oh my god !

once again i hurt my finger ! damm freaking sway leh .... while cleaning the griller oil container (whatever it is call ) i oso donno how , but when i move my hand i saw blood -_-....

i chiong back kitchen to wash my wound ... the blood like flow non stop -_- i went to find my head chef to apply some lotion , but we feel that there is no way the blood gonna stop so they suggest i go to the nearby company doctor at Paragon ( Parkway Shenton )...

the doc at Paragon attitude is really bad , i got a feeling that she think i own her a living , she feel that she is " high-class" being a doctor and she forget that " low-class" ppl like us do pay the medical fee ... in other words we are like their customers.... what right does she have to be so arrogrant ? look down on cooks ? cook your own food next time then....

anyway i took the photos of my finger while waiting to see the " high-class" lady ...

this is not a deep cut , the doctor say see bone then counted as deep...-.- for me if the blood stop stop is counted as deep , very DEEP !

a simple " wrapped- up " by my head chef...

check out the purple solid thingy ... is just form up solid once it touch my wound to stop the bleeding...but damm painful when it touch my wound...

end of the day my finger gonna be like this till friday and i was awarded with only 1 day MC -.- and i had a 破伤风 injection coz scare the metal that cut me is rusty .... and now my hands is painful like kana punch like tat -.-...

o ya i was ask to do chef table for today ... what is chef table , basically it is to cook a meal for the hotel chef to taste...since chatterbox is a coffeehouse , i had to cook something with local flavour...OMG !~

after some thinking i think i will prepare OatMeal Prawn and Pineapple Rice ... i am quite confident in the prawn but not really in the rice , coz i nvr cook before hahaha ...so i start preparing my mis en place ard 11am .... call the chef office at 12pm to check hw many ppl will be eating and i started cooking...

1st round of pineapple rice is a disaster ! my rice BURNT ! wow lan jialat le they told me coz my wok not hot enough , that why will burnt ... so bo bian i cut the things again and try again...

2nd try is better , as least edible lolz....

the oat meal prawn is okie but can be more crispy ahah

met morris for dinner at Pizzahut ... saw old friend and chit chat abit ... asked for the 25% discount coupon and we settle down for the dinner...

since pizzahut now had new menu for pasta , so we must try them for sure ... to see the standard hahaha

Basil Crayfish - Cool ! they serve crayfish in pizzahut ... look nice but the crayfish is way too dry ... not fresh at all , seriously wat i feel for crayfish is serve it fresh or don't serve them... and the sauce don't realli taste like Basil sauce .... disappointed ...

Club Floor

ok i am back from the part time at Meritus Club Lounge ( not very sure about the name )... i start at 6am and end at 11 am and i will be going back to work at 3pm till 11 pm -.- ... and why am i home ? why i never rest in the hotel rest room so i can save a trip back home? Coz when i was on the way to work i found tat i never bring my staff pass -.- so siao siao must come home 1st -.- ... okie what did i do this morning ?

Meritus Club Lounge is really a very cool place , it is a place for hotel guest to rest and relax when they dont feel like going out ... they can surf the internet , read newpaper , meeting , even they can play PS2 over there... but of coz u must pay a certain room rate to enjoy these ....

and breakfast at club floor is really really reallyyyyyyyy sloooowwwwwwwwww...... time pass super slow... not many guest will come for breakfast and i am really too free so i took photos of the place :)

lousy off day , coz of my stuck nose and bad cough -.- ... felt very tired and lazy so spend the whole day at home resting....

since i got nothing on , so i cooked dinner for my family .. today menu is Oatmeal Prawn and Pineapple rice :)

i really do respect architect who draw floor plan and blue print on how to bulid a buliding .... but i respect those worker who sweat and use their hands in constructing the buliding MORE !

how much sweat is lost when constructing this buliding ? working under the blazing sun , climbing up and down earning just a tiny fraction of wat those in the office earn ..

so do salute them whenever u passby them ... if shy to salute , respect them in your heart ....

wow after 6 days of " rest " , i am back to work ... waking up at 0530 and travel to work is tough ... i am dragging 80 % of my body out of the bed ... my mind still not use to it ... haha

so what did i do at work today?

Push Store -.- omg ... chatterbox store is not like normal outlet in mandarin ... they have a big big chiller at B1 .. and i gonna top up what is running low in the small chiller at the resturant and take them up frm the big big chiller ... wow lan sound easy hor but it is not lo -.- must go up and down , making so many trips...

the only good thing about being pushing store is you manage your own time ... you can do everything at your own speed as long as you can finish them in time haha ;) and since today is sunday ... i finish very early and i help out at western station ...:)

Cold Rock Ice Creamery

Cool hor ! from Australia le , they are a group of " ice maker " who " cook " the ice cream with many things on a COLD ROCK ! hahaha

see see ... so many things to chose , you just feel like adding every things to your ice cream ...
see the ice on the rock ... this is the method to keep the ice cream from melting ba ...
they are " cooking " the ice cream ... damm cool ;) clean and neat ....
this is my Ferrero Ice Cream with Nutella and Ferrero Rocher i think is call Ferrero Indulgence , i added mini M&M in hahaha ...their ice cream is very creamy and very nice ! hahaah ... they are located at Holland Village directly opposite Haagen-Dazs hahaha...

Meet Morris , ah hoe , tommy , tommy girlfriend , ningin and ning in brother for dinner at amk hub today .... me and morris met ah hoe earlier coz he reach amk hub early , so we walk around amk hub checking out where to have our dinner ...

we settle down at 三盅两件 while waiting for the rest to come... eating 2 plates of peanuts and drinking tea haha ...

the peanuts very nice lo haaha

we order a set courses for 8 .. got their famous Samsui Chicken , Tofu and Shrimp in chilli sauce , a pot of soup of the day , some pork with salted fish slices , a olive rice , a ba ting fish and white fugus with red date as dessert :) cool right....

this is their restaurant signature dish Samsui Chicken , u gonna wrap the hainanese chicken in lettuce with the garlic sauce ( the bowl in the middle )... wow very nice le ... this is a must try if you gonna eat there :)

Tofu and Shrimp in " chilli crab sauce " very nice gravy but if got those mini man tou will be better hahaha

this is don't know what 八叔公 fish de , they use the Ba Ting fish to cook ... cook till perfection ... the fish just melted in your mouth ... Oooooo HIGH ~~~~

cold and nice dessert to eat the day is a perfect choices !

after the wonderful dinner , we went to mac cafe to la kopi ... i am sure they had improve their standard :)

my 2nd day of leave started with Sacha ... i met her at Marina Square Azabusabo , my 1st time experience trying their dessert was good but the food is not really nice ....

so this time i am going to give them another chances and try their food again...we ordered the same ice cream which i tried the 1st time , one hot dessert some deep fried rice ball , a udon with meat sauce and a deep fried pork cutlet to share...

the mango dessert which is a MUST order !

very nice warm deep fried rice ball with red bean paste

disappointing udon with meat sauce ... way too salty and over price...i strongly believe i can do better....

Deep fried pork cutlet ... freaking big disappointment , the pork cutlet is not crispy , not hot , not tasty and worst of all it is not fully cook ! if a deep fried pork cutlet can do till this standard i think better change the chef ....

overall i think that this resturant serve really good dessert but i think there is a lot of room for their food to improve ... i suggest either change the chef or just sell dessert :P

Go there for dessert but not the food to avoid disappointment ....

after lunch sacha went off to raffles place and i went somerset to meet hong yun and morris to walk walk ... walk around centre point and we settle down at Ichiban Sushi at Plaza Singapura for our dinner and waiting for ah hoe ...

wow we are so hungry hahaha and they really serve good sushi and japanese food...

ah hoe reach around 7 plus and we walk around orchard and we bid good bye and rest at home:)
