Last day of 2007

wow today is the last day of 2007 ! i is so excited hours later will be 2008 , a brand new year .... what have i done in the year 2007 ? achieve my goals ? learn new things ? lost something ? regret on somethings ?

will a brand new year be a better one ?

and 6 more days will be the end of my 9 mth attachment ... time really files with a blink of ur eyes....scary ....

Ikea

yesterday night went Mj with hoe , tommy and liyi then today i woke up 12 plus then went to Ikea at ard 2 ? this time i went to the one at tampines .... the place is the same so crowded hahaha ....

the moment we reach there we settle down tat the resturant for lunch 1st ... the usual meat balls , chicken wing and salmon etc ... taste decent.... after lunch the shopping starts... i love to shop at ikea coz of the modern design and the wide range of stuffs :)

my main motive is to get shelves for my room but in the end i got many other stuffs like clock , frame , pictures , glasses , table hahaahah....

and i saw Daisy's family there hahaha ....

Tiny Metal Balls

i heard about using metal balls to wash and polish sliver ware and 9 months in the hotel finally i saw the balls ....

saw the balls?

millions of them haahh ... how it works if i am not wrong water + metal balls + vibration = shiny metals hahaahah.....

Room Warming

finally i have the courage to paint my room ! never think about how tiring it will get , how messy my room will become ... i just went down to get the paint ( colour ) i wanted and i start work .....

start off with sticking masking tape on the edges , moving furnitures and damn it is tiring.... took some photos before working :)

Advance Xmas Dinner....

i had advance xmas dinner yesterday to avoid the xmas crowd and expensive dinner...we decide to eat at Indulgz Bistro after reading what Xiaxue wrote in her blog and the way she decribe hw great the place is and how wonderful the food were.

reach the place and got our seats within seconds ( as we had make reservation ) the ambience is very welcoming and cosy , dim lights and nice xmas decor...they had a very nice menu ...

nice and thick menu but the wordings do make ppl confuse... finally decide wat to eat and drinks after being confused by the menu ...

we ordered deep - fried chesse , breaded white mushroom , cesar salad , lobster bique as starters and we ordered Crispy pasta , triple chesse baked rice , fish and chip , mariana pasta and baked honey garlic chicken for main.. took some picture .....

Deep-fried Camembert Cheese with Berry Compote $12.00 this is great ... u can feel the cheese flowing out when u bite on it ...

Breaded white button mushrooms with garlic mayo $6.80 , this mushroom is realli disapointing ...this is the 1st time i ate breaded mushroom with such disapoinment... mushroom tastes bitter and the garlic mayo has a veyr strong raw garlic taste....

Lobster Bique $7.80... decent taste but dont really taste lobster more like seafood bique to me....

Chef's Crispy Pasta with Chicken Mushroom Tomato Cream Sauce $16.80... i came here just to taste this pasta and i have lots of expectation in it ... but once again this is another dissapointment...firstly the sauce is too light to be called tomato cream , the sauce is way too sour and the most importantly is it is not piping hot !

Triple Cheese Baked Rice $17.80... taste too common for the price stated on the menu ...

total bill $202...

after the few dissapointment the food gave me i give up snapping photos on the food .... the only food that make us awake is the Baked Honey Garlic Chicken ... Chicken is very tender and infused with the flavour of the honey and the garlic.

if you guys notice the time at the right bottom corner of the photos...in between we need to wait 30 to 45 mins for them to serve the food ... and i don't understand why they need to take 20 min to serve the soup -.-

a very dissapointed dinner i had yesterday ... i can say it is not worthwhile .... and unlikely i will dine there again

我瘦了!!!

yeah just now i weight my on the weighing scale the needle shows 73 KG ! 3 mths ago i was 78 KG ... after not having breakfast and lunch for 3 mths ...

I LOST 5 KG ! omg i is so damn happy !

i will be slim and lean soon ! Ladies beware ! hahaahah

Belated Birthday Treat....

hahaha sat went Amk hub 店小二 for my belated birthday treat with my family :) we order 十全烤鴨 , Dong Po Rou , Oatmeal Prawn , Cod Fish , Vegetable , Soup .... wow everything is nice ! the dishes came very fast but the dishes is serve piping hot ....

Cooking

Cooking at home is always fun , yesterday is the 1st time i cook for my friends... so excited and scare the food i cook not up to their standard...

i meet them in the evening at AMK hub NTUC to buy the stuff i need for today menu...shop shop shop get everything i need and went home and i start cooking... they wanted to help but i think i prefer to cook alone haha ....

SCA Gala Dinner

yesterday i went for the SCA Annual Gala Dinner at Swissotel The Stamford ... the theme is Spy Vs Spy hahaah....

i went with Gwern , Tianmu , Sam and one for tianmu friend .... the event is so grand and lots of chefs attended too ....

good buffet spread and the most amazing is the dessert session by Chef Kenny .... nvr take photo of the spread coz too nice busy eating ....show u guys some photos....

did u guy read michelle quek blog ? haha recently she went Meritus Mandarin 333 to have dinner... she is real hot ;) she commented on our food ....

hahah we are better *wink*wink* hahaha

how is work ? everyday the same ...can feel that they trust us trainee more now ... giving us more chances to cook... but i really don't understand why some cook 1 standard so jialat still can survive in this line.... wat the chef there told us like...

" work must be fast ..."

" work must be clean , do liao wash then do new thing ... "

" work must be organize ... "

but i dont see that from those cook 1....why i being a trainee must guide a cook 1 ? then some chef still say trainees cannot work this and that ... is polishing balls the best recipe in work ? ps : there are really good cooks there...

wow when u place a xmas tree at any corner , the feeling of xmas is very strong ... haha then now so cold like snowing sia haha ...

o ya today i 7th Dec and it is my bday ! haha 24 year old le like a bit old liao hor ... but i am still young in the heart :)

today morning when i go work , i saw someone familiar ... not a friend , not a relative , he is someone i see every morning ... he seem close to me but i never talk to him before... he is the road sweeper who work 7 days a week 毫無怨言, 默默的 sweep for us....

everyday we go work , we walk pass him everyday but how many of us notice his existence ? when the roadside is clean we wont feel tat he did a great job , we treat that it is 應該的 ...but when the roadside is dirty for a day we feel that he is not doing his job and we will complain and complain... should we reflect on our behaviour? hahaha....

Do cherish those who are near you and those who 默默 doing things for you before they are gone....
